Level 1
Introductory level for beginning swimmers
These classes teach students about water safety, drowning prevention, and basic stroke development with goal of helping each student feel comfortable in the water.
Of course, they're also learning the elementary skills they'll need to enjoy water activities safely. Each student is taught to float, how to remain calm in emergency situations, and basic self rescue skills.
Point of emphasis
Blowing bubbles or face submersion
JUMP TURN & GRAB: Jumping into water and immediately returning to the side
Enter and exit the water independently
Supported kicking and pulling on one’s own
Comfortable in water
Supported floating on back/ stomach
Introduction of alternating arm action
Supported independent kicking/arms 8 feet from the wall and back

Level 2
Intermediate level expands core lessons
This intermediate level of instruction helps the student with coordination of the front crawl, backstroke, and elementary backstroke. Kicking and pulling are also covered to help develop correct support and breathing form. Body submersion, diving, and treading of water are also key activities at Level 2.. Endurance swimming is taught to the student by increasing the distance of travel throughout the class session.

Front and back float unsupported
Flutter kick on back and stomach
Full submersion (bob all the way below surface)
Combined stroke movement for freestyle and backstroke
Introduce rotary breathing
Kneeling and standing dive off side

Level 3
Advanced level
Swimmers who have mastered the basic steps of freestyle with beginning rotary breathing, elementary backstroke, backstroke are now ready to learn the basics of sidestroke, butterfly, and breast stroke. The student will increase stamina and endurance while building confidence. Also, flip turns are also introduced to aid in increasing endurance.

Introduce whip kick and arms
Side stroke mechanics (body control)
Perfect rotary breathing
Increase endurance to swim length of pool at least once
Wall turns and flip turn
Underwater deep diving
Standing dives
Rescue skills and open water safety
