The Pancake Decree of 2010 - Breakfast and Pool Open to the Public with Paid Admission

Hey, Everybody!

Based on some inquiries I've received regarding this morning's pancake breakfast, it seemed prudent to send our a clarification on the event:

Because the pancake breakfast is a fundraiser and community outreach event, it is open to the public
The same prices apply across-the-board for members and non-members: $5/person not to exceed $20/family
As of 9 a.m. (or approximately 15 minutes from now) the pool will be open for swimming
The pool also will be open to the paid-in-full, pancake-eating public, so bring your swim suits and your best cannonball

First annual fundraiser for GHCC: This event will help fund the costs of off-season maintenance, and much needed repairs to the pool, grounds,and parking lot.

As you may have noticed, the last few days have been unseasonably wet. With more rain forecast for tomorrow, we've officially postponed tomorrow's car wash fundraiser.

First Annual Car Wash Fundraiser

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

GHCC needs your participation in our First Annual Car Wash Fundraiser!

GHCC Car Wash Fundraiser @ GHCC parking lot
Saturday, July 10
9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Free hot dogs, chips and soda for all participants

Sign-up sheets are available on the bulletin board above the drinking fountain or take a shift by e-mail (events@ourpool.org). KIDS ARE WELCOME and ENCOURAGED to participate! Plan on having fun and getting wet!

This fundraiser will help fund several critical maintenance projects to help keep OUR POOL good condition:

Plastering the pool
Removing the tree near the front entrance
Installing a new water slide
Resurfacing the diving board
Installing additional shade coverings
Building a new clubhouse (and demolishing the old one)

The Car Wash Fundraiser obviously will not fund all of these projects, but can get us off to a good start. We look forward to seeing you there!T

Around the World Art Camp

August 2-6, 2010 10:00am - 1:00pm

Kids ages 5-10 will explore different countries each day while creating art based on the cultures from that region of the world. The campers will hold an Art Show at the Pool on Friday evening of camp. They will have the opportunity to display their treasures, or possibly even sell them to some lucky patron! There are still 8 days left to take advantage of GHCC’s Early Bird Discount. Complete applications submitted with payment on or before April 15 will receive a membership discount. Visit www.ourpool.org/membership to see the complete fee schedule along with the discounts for each membership type.

Secure online payments

GHCC is now accepting membership applications for the 2010 Pool Season. Applications received no later than April 15 will be eligible for the Early Bird discount (click here for complete fee schedule). On April 15, members of the GHCC Board of Directors will be on site at the pool from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to accept your applications. Otherwise, please submit your applications by mail.
